The Idea behind this project was to teach children the skills needed to analyse and understand why they have certain thoughts and behaviours. By implementing this service each child would be able to have ownership of their learning in their own environment. The project was conscious of the fact that the children who need this emotional support the most are probably not the ones getting it at home. The end goal of the service would be to develop a basic level of emotional intelligence in all young children of primary school age to level the playing field for when they have to deal with difficult issues later in life.
